Welcome to our nursery. Tops Poole opened in September 2004.
The Poole NHS Hospital had gone out to public tender for a nursery provider and Tops eventually won the contract to provide the nursery in the building we occupy in Denmark Lane (just across the road from the landmark Barclays Bank building).
Our building leased by the hospital and re-designed by Tops and WDS Building Contractors for use by children at a cost of £300,000. The building, in Denmark Lane, is on 2 floors, with the older children on the upper floor, 99 children in total.
The very small "Lodge Day Nursery" in the hospital closed down and the staff and children moved across to the new building. The children's play area is all laid to all weather safety surfacing and features built-in climbing/balancing/sliding equipment and a large "boat" sandpit, wendy house etc.
This information is to help you and your child when they first start at nursery. Photographs of the whole team are displayed on a notice board to help you to recognise us. We aim to be able to recognise you by sight as quickly as possible. Please do not hesitate to speak to staff at Tops Poole at any time, we are there for you and your child.
