We are delighted to share that all Tops Day Nurseries settings, Aspire Training Team and Head Office will be provided with a blender for colleague use.
Since we introduced weekly fruit delivers to the nurseries, Aspire Training Team and head office we hope you have all taken the opportunity to eat more fresh fruit during the week. On some occasions we have noticed that there is some fruit leftover on Fridays, to avoid this going to waste we thought it would be a nice idea to purchase a blender for every site to enable you to use up the fruit and make fruit smoothies. A smoothie made with whole fruit, some milk or a milk alternative (e.g. soy or almond milk), perhaps even a little protein powder is certainly nutritious. You could add some of the CACAO chocolate powder that we distributed with your sparklers for our week 45 improvement.
When made right, smoothies provide fibre, protein, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants – and water – nutrients that a toasted bagel, even a whole-grain one, can’t deliver. Blending your own smoothie is one of the easiest ways to add fruit to your diet and a great solution for people who don’t think to add fresh fruit to breakfast or snacks.
We hope you enjoy using up the leftover fruit and turning it into a delicious fruit smoothie.
