This week all Tops Day Nurseries will be receiving a copy of Neal Layton’s new book release: A Planet Full of Plastic. This is a beautifully illustrated book which aims to help children under 7 years understand where explains where plastic comes from, why it doesn’t biodegrade, and why that is dangerous for animals and people. The book explains these concerns in child-friendly language, accompanied by plenty of ideas on how we can make a difference and keep Planet Earth happy – such as not using plastic straws.
All of the Tops nurseries promote sustainability within their settings, from banning glitter to participating beach clean ups; our hope is that by educating the children of today, they will in turn be influential to the way future generations live.
