Awards awards awards! Tops Celebrate Colleague Excellence

On Saturday 6th October, over 200 individuals attended an ‘around the world’ themed evening to recognise and celebrate the achievements and hard work of over 500 Hadland Care Group staff during 2018.

Colleagues from across group’s three companies met at The O2 in Bournemouth. Colleagues from Tops Day Nurseries, Aspire Training Team and Reside Care Homes travelled from over 30 locations based in Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset, Wiltshire and Devon.

During the presentation, over 30 Awards were given to individuals for going ‘Above and Beyond the Call of Duty’, “ABCD” awards, of which colleagues were able to nominate each other. These were presented with heart-warming accolades and inspirational stories. As well as the ABCD awards there were a number of other awards given out such as the Aspire Learners awards, Best Dressed, ECO Award, Inspirational Managers Award, Directors Award and the Managing Directors Award.

Managing Directors Award

Jo Penn,

“A special award and a thank you to Jo Penn, H&S Manager.  She had to learn very quickly about the care homes and support them through their challenges this year, and of course has had the job of assessing all the new nurseries at Yeovil, Babbacombe and Plymouth on top of the existing 19 which has increased her workload significantly.  She has done all this with a smile and with strength.  She has been very flexible, and professional, but best of all she manages to deliver the long job lists, and help with many of them, in a pleasant and encouraging way.  Jo helps us make our working environments safe for us and for the children in our care.  Thank you.”
