Celebrating our staff

Tops Day Nurseries prides itself on providing top quality childcare to parents across Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire in an environment that is stimulating, fun and educational.

Of course, this would not be at all possible without the brilliant staff we employ.

At Tops Wimborne, there are 5 members of staff that hold a level 5 qualification, with another working towards.

One of those staff members is nursery manager, Stephanie Walker. Stephanie joined Tops Day Nurseries in 2013 as a Room Manager and Deputy Manager at Tops Parkstone, before working her way up to a Manager’s position which she held for a number of years, as well as holding the nursery SENCO, Safeguarding and ENCO role.

Stephanie holds a National Diploma in early years, as well as a level 3 qualification in leadership and management. Stephanie has also completed Tops Forest School training, respectful baby care, Portal training, level 4 qualification for SENCO and has recently completed her Level 5 Cache Diploma for Children and Young People Workforce.

Becky Withers, Room Manager at Tops Wimborne joined Tops Day Nurseries in 2009 as a childcare apprentice working towards her level 2 qualification. After 8 years of hard work and dedication, Becky has worked her way up to holding a level 5 qualification as well as being a senior member of the nursery team.

Apprentices are nurtured from day one to help guide them into being the kind, compassionate staff that represent Tops Day Nurseries. Since all of our apprentices are looking to start their career in childcare, having hands on experience in our nurseries is invaluable towards their development.  A high number of our childcare apprentices stay with us once they qualify, meaning that Tops Day Nurseries can benefit from their knowledge and existing understanding of how best to develop the children in their care.

Tops Day Nurseries works with Aspire Training Team, an Ofsted Outstanding Training Provider offering level 1 – 5 childcare courses across the South Coast.
