Tops Day Nursery in Sturminster Newton, on Station Road, has just welcomed a new chef to their team to provide their children with daily healthy cooked lunches.

The nursery chef will also teach the children about healthy eating and run children cooking workshops at the nursery.

Glynis Ridout, who grew up in Sherborne and now lives in Holwell, has a wealth of experience in food, working as a chef in a school in Southampton and even owning her own bistro pub in the past.

Glynis said: “I’m very excited to start my role at Tops Sturminster Newton as their new chef. I have lots of ideas of things I’d like to share with the children, from cooking and baking to teaching them the benefits of healthy eating – you can never start too young!

“Offering nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals for the children is something that I’m going to love doing, and I can’t wait to get started.”
