Children’s Environmental Health Day, held on October 8th 2020, is a way to make some noise and encourage real change for children’s health. This day anchors the overall Children’s Environmental Health Movement and is a rallying point for education, and for individuals and organizations to take action on behalf of children’s environmental health.

Children all over the world face poor health, illnesses and chronic diseases linked to environmental exposures and our changing climate. It is incredibly important that we put children and families at the forefront of our country’s actions regarding health and the environment. Children’s Environmental Health Day is a great way to rally partners together to raise awareness and understanding about the issues facing our children and future generations.
This year, the Children’s Environmental Health Network are encouraging activities and virtual events to make some noise and to get more people involved. Whether it’s discussing children’s health videos, holding sustainable cooking lessons, encouraging sustainable activities, reading eco-themed children’s books or organising outdoor clean-ups, there are so many ways to get involved.
