To prepare for Employee Motivation Day in February employees at Hadland Care Group have been rewarded with hampers full of healthy treats.
Charlotte Percival, HR Director at Hadland Care Group, organised baskets for over 500 staff filled with fruit and healthy snacks from Hodmedod to enjoy within their staff meetings to show how valued they are.
“Eating healthily during the day is a great way to keep staff motivated,” comments Charlotte. “Junk food or unhealthy snacks can make us feel sluggish during the day, so we can’t be as positive as we would like to be, whereas fruit is a natural source of energy and keeps us focussed. By providing fruit as an alternative we are highlighting to our employees how much we care about their health and wellbeing, which in turn makes them feel appreciated, and consequently more motivated.”
Nick Saltmarsh, Managing Director for Hodmedod, commented, “Hodmedod works with farmers to develop fair and sustainable production and supply of British-grown pulses and grains. Our Roasted Beans and Peas make a healthier alternative to other snacks with less than a third the fat of roasted nuts. They’re full of protein and fibre too. Since it’s foundation in 2012 Hodmedod has striven to raise awareness of British-grown pulses and the contribution they can make to our health, nutrition and the environment.. We’re delighted the United Nations has designated 2016 as International Year of Pulses to raise awareness of the many benefits of pulses, and we’d like to thank Hadland Care Group for helping to spread our message to their employees.”
Cheryl Hadland, Managing Director of Tops Day Nurseries said “Showing our employees how valued they are is part of our daily life at Hadland Care Group through our regular employee forums and questionnaires, and our annual Awards Night is a big part of every year. As a growing company we’re keen that our employees grow with us and are happy and proud to be part of Hadland Care Group. We are always looking for creative ways to show we care about our colleagues.”
