Recently Tops Day Nurseries have been celebrating friendships in aid of international friendship day!
Children at Tops Wareham made friendship bracelets for one another. They used their fine motor skills by painting pieces of pasta then threading the pieces of pasta onto some string.
Making friends in early years is key to a child’s development. Having childhood friendships help to develop a child’s social skills. It helps children to feel good about themselves and helps them for build good self-confidence. Having friendships in early childhood help children to learn a number of different qualities that are helpful in later life. Some of these qualities include; Self-Control, Assertiveness, Consideration, play skills, good communication skills, empathy, flexibility and much more!
