Fun Crafts: Making Googly Eyes from Medicine Caps!

Hey there, crafters! Today, let’s turn medicine caps into cool googly eyes. It’s a small project but perfect for making toys and plushies. Ready for some fun?

You’ll Need:

  1. Clean medicine wrappers
  2. Scissors
  3. Thick black and white paper
  4. Pencil
  5. Glue

Step 1: Gather Stuff

Get your supplies ready: medicine wrappers, scissors, thick paper, a pencil, and glue.

Step 2: Get the Caps Ready

Carefully take off the foil from the medicine wrapper without popping the cap. Cut out round caps – you’ll need two for a pair of googly eyes.

Step 3: Cut Shapes

Trace the cap on thick white paper and cut out two circles. Now, cut four circles from black paper for the center of the eyes. Glue two black circles together for thickness.

Step 4: Make the Eyes

Put a bit of glue around the white circles. Place the black circles in the center, making sure they don’t touch the glue. Put the plastic cap on top, so the edge is on the glue. Let it dry.

Get Fancy: Try Different Colors!

Make it exciting! Use different colors for the centers of the eyes. Mix and match for extra fun!

Crafting for Happy Little Ones

At Tops Day Nurseries, we love crafts. It’s not just fun; it helps little ones grow smart and happy. Crafting builds their skills and helps them to learn and develop. Here are some examples of skills they can learn when they craft:

  • Improve Coordination: Cutting, pasting, and drawing help little hands get more coordinated.
  • Boost Creativity: Crafting lets them explore their imagination and come up with cool ideas.
  • Build Patience: Waiting for glue to dry or carefully cutting shapes helps with patience.
  • Express Themselves: Through crafting, little ones can show their personality and feelings.
  • Learn Problem Solving: Figuring out how to put things together is like a fun puzzle.

Enjoy your craft time, and let those imaginations soar with your recycled googly eyes! 😊
