Every child at Tops Day Nurseries has a key person who meets the needs of each child in their care. We would like to share with you some information about the role of a child’s key person in the nursery.
Each key person has special responsibilities for working with a small number of children giving them the reassurance to feel safe and cared for during their time at nursery and to support them when making transitions to new experiences.
Each key person is responsible for updating your child’s development records and helping them work towards achieving their next steps. All this information is shared with you using our online learning journey, eyLog and working in partnership with you so that together the needs of your child are always met.
We hold two parent consultation meetings a year to give you the opportunity to discuss your child’s development and next steps. If you cannot make the dates offered please can we ask you to arrange an alternative day and time, appointments can be made during the nursery day if scheduled in advance. If you have any questions regarding your child’s development or next steps please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s key person or the nursery manager.
