Yesterday, Thursday 16th June, was Alzheimer’s Society’s Cupcake Day, proudly supported by woman&home. On the day, Hadland Care Group, head office for Tops Day Nurseries, Aspire Training Team and Reside Care Homes held their very own cupcake day to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.
The Admin and Marketing teams brought in cakes to put on sale for the rest of the office to enjoy, including homemade treats such as “Hannah’s Heavenly Cupcakes”! Children from Tops Poole also took part in the fundraising activity, delivering a variety of sugar free and gluten free cakes to our Reside Care Homes. Lauren Hixson, Tops Poole Nursery Manager, made the cakes and the children enjoyed the trip to the Southbourne and Christchurch care homes to meet the wonderful residents there, who in turn were thrilled to spend time with the children.
Cheryl Hadland, Managing Director of Tops Day Nurseries, opened the first Reside Care Home in 2005, followed by
the second three years later. The two residential care homes specialise in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care which Cheryl opened after finding extremely few specialist care homes for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Reside Care Homes operates two homes based in Christchurch and Southbourne, Dorset. We recognise the special type of care and focus those with dementia need. Our qualified, experienced and understanding staff offer specialist support for those with varying degrees of dementia, always on hand to provide care, promote wellbeing and offer personal attention in a safe and welcoming environment.
Hadland Care Group raised over £60 on the day, with donations still coming in for the Alzheimer’s Society.
