Local Nursery Connects with Community

Tops Day Nurseries Havant, located on Stockheath Lane, have been getting involved in the local community with the help of BANKcommunitySPACE.

BANKcommunitySPACE are all about building a sense of community. Everything from craft and art therapy groups, holistic treatments and children’s clubs to legal surgeries and LGBTQ support networks are given their own space within the centre. Recently, BANKcommunitySPACE have given up their wall to showcase the businesses within their local community.

Tops Havant were given the opportunity to add their nursery to the wall. They used this exciting opportunity to create a fun, learning experience for their children. They coloured in the Tops Day Nurseries logo and went on a trip down to the centre where they got to put their logo on the wall themselves.

BANKcommunitySPACE has always understood that real community is created from the ground up. Made by those who live, love and grow together. That’s why we dedicated our wall to all of the little communities that make up our whole community. We’re encouraging schools, nurseries, and other groups to add their logos to our map. That way we are creating our space together and we can value all our expressions of the place we call home.

Darren McKenna, Director, and Founder of BANKcommunitySPACE

Tops Day Nursery Havant enjoy being part of such a caring and supportive community. We have tried to find ways in which we can support the local community with essentials including food donations to the Po9 Food bank, donate any unwanted toys and clothes as well as share the amazing work that the BANKCommunitySPACE undertake. It is an honour to be invited to add our logo to the community wall which I feel reflects the team spirit as we work collectively to showcase all the amazing support that the BankCommunitySPACE deliver to those in need.
