Tops Trowbridge joins the Tops Day Nurseries chain as our largest nursery, offering a spacious, thoughtfully designed floor plan with separate rooms tailored to different age groups. Each area is created to help children thrive, with age-appropriate resources, play spaces, and learning zones. Located in a welcoming community with easy access to parks and green spaces, children benefit from regular outdoor activities, nature walks, and hands-on learning, supporting physical development, curiosity, and a love of the natural world.
We have a highly motivated staff team, who support each other to develop new and exciting ideas for the children. We pride ourselves on knowing each of the children and their families personally, allowing us to not only be there for the child’s welfare and education, but also using our professional knowledge to be there for the parents too. We offer flexible childcare that supports your family, your routine, and your peace of mind.
Our rooms are set up so children can access resources independently, empowering them to explore and investigate at their own pace. We look at the risk benefits of activities, enabling the children to explore new and exciting opportunities, for example our pre-school children have adult led access to a tinkering set, as well as large scale construction with crates and tyres in the garden or climbing trees while on Tops Forest School.

We implement a sustainable travel plan for each setting to promote healthy lifestyles, improve staff morale, enhance recruitment and retention of staff, to reduce parking requirements on the surrounding roads, achieve the minimum number of additional single-occupancy car traffic and movements to and from site.

against demanding standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.
There are currently over 3,500 B. Corps in 150
industries and 70 countries across the globe and Tops Day Nurseries has become the first Day Nursery in the UK to become a certified B. Corp Corporation
business.
At Tops, our menus are designed to provide children with a balanced, nutritious diet, with all meals and desserts made using no added sugar. We offer vegan and vegetarian options every week and have recently introduced venison – a lean, iron-rich meat that supports healthy development. We ensure that we cater to all dietary needs to make sure our mealtimes are fun and inclusive for all.
We aim to promote a positive relationship with food from a young age, encouraging children to enjoy a variety of healthy choices and grow in independence from the opportunity we give them to serve their own food up. Our close partnership with Harvest Fine Foods ensures we use fresh, locally sourced ingredients daily, supporting both nutrition and sustainability.

My granddaughter started school today. I know she is so well prepared for it, thanks to all of you. I want to express my own very deep appreciation for the care and attention you have given her at Tops. She loves Nature and being outdoors, chalking on the pavement, dressing up and performing, and baking, all of which you have fostered at Nursery.
Lovely, helpful team who the children clearly love to see and feel very comfortable with. I frequently see what my child has been up to as there are lots of logs on the app which is great. My child eats a great deal more after eating their lunchtime meals also. I would recommend them and use them again if needed.

Choosing Tops Nursery was the best choice I made for my child. The staff are very friendly and supportive for him and for me too. My child sometimes cried when dropped him there because he’s very attached to me but once I picked him up from the nursery he was very happy being there.
