Tops Day Nurseries Copnor is based within Pompey Health and Fitness on Copnor Road in Portsmouth and provides Early Education and Care for children aged 12 weeks – preschool age.

Our Copnor day nursery & preschool is situated in an ideal place for parents looking for Early Education and Care in the Hilsea area and has close transport links, being on the main bus route and a short distance from Hilsea Train Station.

Exciting activities are arranged based on the children’s interests and are designed to captivate their imaginations. Children are encouraged to explore, get messy, have fun and learn valuable life and development skills.

At Tops Day Nurseries our aim is for all children to meet or exceed expected development for their age. We are implementing ‘SchemaPlay’ across all of our settings to help narrow the gap for any children showing signs of delay and to also enhance the learning experiences for all children that attend our settings. ‘SchemaPlay have recently created a video to help parents understand what schemes are, and how these can be identified and promoted at home. Tops Copnor also implements extra-curricular activities in line with the rest of the Tops Day Nurseries family. For example, Tops Cooking School, Boogie Mites, yoga, tooth brushing, Football Fun and much more!

Our Copnor day nursery is one of the five Early Education and Care settings within the Tops Day Nurseries to open in the Portsmouth area, following Tops Portsmouth at the Queen Alexandra Hospital, Tops Lakeside at 1000 Lakeside Business Park, Tops Southsea on Bruce Road and Tops Havant, based in Trosnant Primary School.

Our Nursery’s Unique Features

1. Cooking school for Pre-school children: The nursery offers cooking classes twice a week, providing a fun and engaging way for children to develop their culinary skills.
2. Small class swimming lessons: Limited spaces are available for small class swimming lessons, ensuring that children receive personalized attention and develop confidence in the water during their last year of Pre-school.
3. Large car park with easy accessibility: The nursery boasts a large car park with easy access to major roads, making drop-offs and pickups convenient for parents.
4. Single-level nursery: The nursery is on one level, making it easily accessible for children and staff with mobility issues.
5. Open-plan layout: The open-plan layout of the nursery provides ease of transition between different areas and activities, allowing children to move around freely and explore their surroundings.
6. Large wraparound garden: The nursery has a large wraparound garden, providing ample outdoor space for children to play and explore nature.
7. Separate area for younger children: The garden has a separate area specifically designed for younger children, ensuring their safety and allowing them to play and explore at their own pace.
