Here at our day nursery and preschool in Wimborne, we provide exceptional Early Education and Care for children from 3 months – preschool age. We strive to engage with our children in those precious one-to-one instances which is also a fundamental part of a child’s development, as this encourages them to express themselves without any pressure and making them feel proud of themselves, whilst giving the practitioner a unique platform to empower these cherished ideas.

Throughout our nursery each room has been specifically resourced with outstanding equipment for babies, toddlers and preschool children. Each room has created a communication-friendly space to facilitate our children to feel comfortable and confident in a space which is situated in a quiet and calm environment.

We also have a large garden, and a good range of climbing, balancing and sliding equipment, a sand pit and planting areas. We like to access the outdoor play area in all weathers!

The nursery provides numerous opportunities for risk-taking play where staff can support and encourage the children to explore innovative and exciting experiences.  There are many researched and documented advantages of encouraging our children to engage in risk taking play such as empowering them to further develop existing learnt skills as well as giving them a sense of satisfaction as they accomplish something that they may not have done before.

Tops Corfe Mullen also implements extra-curricular activities in line with the rest of the Tops Day Nurseries family. For example, Tops Cooking School, Boogie Mites, yoga, tooth brushing, Football Fun and much more!

We have recently achieved SchemaPlay accreditation, to help narrow the gap for any children showing signs of delay and to also enhance the learning experiences for all children that attend our settings. ‘SchemaPlay have recently created a video to help parents understand what schemes are, and how these can be identified and promoted at home. Our Corfe Mullen day nursery is one of the five Early Education and Care settings within the Tops Day Nurseries based in the Poole and Wimborne area, including Tops Parkstone in Rossmore, Tops Poole by Barclays House, Tops Wareham by the train station and Tops Wimborne on Leigh Road.

Tops Corfe Mullen offers Hi5’s Holiday Club as well as Hi5 Forest School, a great way for your child to learn through play and exploration, find out more!
