Tops Prince Rock is based in Plymouth and is a short walk from the River Plym.
With fantastic links to the local community, our nursery & preschool in Prince Rock is the ideal place for your child to learn, play and grow.
Nestled within Lucas Terrace, our Ofsted GOOD nursery and preschool benefits from bright and airy open-plan rooms, with a smaller room for babies adjoining.

Additional Care
Tops Prince Rock no longer offer a Hi5’s Holiday Club but instead will be offering additional care outside the scheduled hours at the nursery’s standard hourly rate.
Children in preschool have free-flow access to the secure nursery garden which showcases a large allotment, climbing and balancing equipment.
Tothill park is a 2 minute walk away, meaning the children in our care can explore the 6.7 hectares which include playgrounds, walking routes and sport facilities.
We have recently achieved SchemaPlay accreditation, to help narrow the gap for any children showing signs of delay and to also enhance the learning experiences for all children that attend our settings. ‘SchemaPlay have recently created a video to help parents understand what schemes are, and how these can be identified and promoted at home. This nursery in Plymouth is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable Early Education and Care in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

Tops Prince Rock in Plymouth also implements extra-curricular activities in line with the rest of the Tops Day Nurseries family. For example, Tops Cooking School, Boogie Mites, yoga, tooth brushing and much more!
Our Prince Rock day nursery is one of the 6 Early Education and Care settings within the Tops Day Nurseries family to be based in the Torbay & Plymouth area, including Tops Babbacombe in Torquay, Tops Bretonside in Plymouth City Centre, Tops Devonport at the Green Ark Children’s Centre, Tops Efford at DELL Children’s Centre and Tops Stonehouse near Wyndham Square.
We have a number of nurseries in Plymouth and over the Christmas period (usually 2 weeks) we offer childcare at a minimum of 2 of our nurseries in Plymouth. We will always try to ensure we allocate a member of the team from each of the closed nurseries to maintain continuity for your child during this period.

Whilst your child is in our care we are more than happy for you to call us as often as you like to discuss their childcare or talk to a member of staff about your child and their day at nursery. During your child’s day at nursery we will record important information to share with you, such as sleep times/nappy changes and information about milk/food intake. This information is added to a daily report which is submitted onto EYLOG.

With opening hours, from 6am-8pm including bank holidays, it means we are here when you need us. Offering Education & Care with 15-minute intervals, so you only pay for the childcare you need. (Available at the majority of our nurseries but not all.)
