Welcome to Tops Day Nurseries: Wimborne Nursery, Dorset

View our 3D video tour below!

Here at our Wimborne nursery, we are passionate about ensuring that children get the best possible learning experiences through our meticulously planning and set up environments. Our environments are adapted to age and stage of the children, from babies to preschool.

You can view our hourly rates and optional extras on our price list here: Tops Wimborne Price List. Find out more about 2, 3 and 4 year old funding and working tax credits here.

The converted old pub building is a fantastic Early Education and Care setting and our children benefit from bright, spacious rooms with bay windows, multiple huge gardens for each age group and car park for easy access for parents.

Tops Wimborne was one of the first nurseries within the Tops family to have solar panels fitted and has since been a pioneer in leading the way in sustainability.

The nursery is located in a conservation area which means we have amazing access to the outdoors environment and our children love this about us. We are also right next to By The Way Field, which features a pond and an orienteering route. We like to bring the indoor classroom outside and build on the children’s fascinations, and encourage them to actively learn through play and make connections with their wider world.

Our main aim under our ethos of ‘flexible nurturing care’ is to ensure we focus on each child’s individuality and ensure that we create activities to meet their own passions and needs.  We build a warm, friendly and safe environment to nurture each child through their early years, and provide a stimulating and loving environment for them to learn and develop. Furthermore, we are implementing ‘SchemaPlay’ across all of our settings to help narrow the gap for any children showing signs of delay and to also enhance the learning experiences for all children that attend our settings. ‘SchemaPlay have recently created a video to help parents understand what schemes are, and how these can be identified and promoted at home. Watch the full video here’.

The children at Tops also benefit from our balanced no-added sugar menus that we have designed to support growth and development using the Children’s Food Trust Recommendations.  To view our healthy, nutritious recipes click here.

This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable Early Education and Care in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

We would love for you to come and visit us and take a look around our lovely nursery, we look forward to meeting you!
