We’re over the moon to share some exciting news: Pete Ttofis, our chef at Tops Day Nurseries, has officially been named Nursery Chef of the Year at the NMT Awards!
Pete’s win is a huge deal for us because it shines a spotlight on the incredible work he does every single day. From carefully planning menus to making sure every child’s dietary needs are met, Pete’s passion and creativity are at the heart of it all.
Here is what Pete had to say about this “Winning Nursery Chef of the Year at the NMT Awards is an incredible honor. It’s a privilege to be recognised for doing what I love, creating nutritious, sustainable and exciting meals that fuel young minds and bodies. This award reflects not just my passion but also the support of my incredible team and the smiles of the children we cook for everyday”.
Pete has a special knack for turning sustainable, wholesome ingredients into meals that little one’s (and let’s be honest, adults!) would love. He’s always thinking one step ahead, ensuring that every bite helps support the little ones’ growth, energy, and learning. Whether it’s a comforting veggie-packed pasta or a fun twist on classic dishes, Pete always delivers with flair.
But it’s not just about the food. Pete’s care and attention create a warm, welcoming environment that makes mealtimes something the children look forward to. And let’s not forget the positive eating habits he’s helping them build for life.
This isn’t just Pete’s win, it’s a moment of pride for all of us at Tops Day Nurseries. We’re so lucky to have a team that’s passionate about giving children the very best start in life, and Pete’s award is proof that our dedication doesn’t go unnoticed.
We’re so grateful for the love and support from our Tops families, you make what we do even more special. And, of course, a massive congratulations to Pete for this well-deserved recognition. Let’s give Pete a huge round of applause for his amazing achievement!
