On the 20th November, Tops Newport Senior Manager Hannah Jennings won the NMT Nursery Manager of the Year Award 2021.
For almost 20 years, NMT has awarded those in the nursery community whom so many depend on. With over 25,000 day nurseries and preschools eligible for the national awards, being crowned a national winner is a huge achievement.
While at the Awards, we asked Hannah what inspires her to be a Nursery Manager. Hannah said “I always wanted to make an impact in people’s lives and this job gives me the opportunity to do this every day. The ability to inspire my team, I love getting to know my team and finding out what inspires them and how to create inspiration. Leading by example and sharing my vision and following through with everything I say, helping to build trust and respect. I love being a part of a child’s journey watching the children grow in the learning environments that we create and teaching them new skills. Empowering my staff is extremely important to me, I love watching my team grow in confidence through great mentoring and support and seeing how they have progressed into amazing practitioners. I feel totally overwhelmed that I have won this award!”
