One of our favourite ways to bring recycling and sustainability to life is through our family friendly beach clean-ups. These community events turn a simple day by the sea into an adventure with purpose.
Together with parents, children, and team members, we collect litter from local coastlines, protecting wildlife, keeping our beaches beautiful, and showing little ones, that teamwork makes a difference. The pride on children’s faces when they see their full rubbish bag is proof that they’re never too small to be big changemakers.
Back at nursery, our commitment continues. You’ll find dedicated recycling stations in many of our settings, helping families safely dispose of tricky items like batteries and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
By making recycling visible and accessible every day, we help children learn that sorting materials isn’t an occasional task, it’s really a way of life.
Parents often ask us: “How can we help?” The truth is you already do! When you bring in a cardboard box for junk modelling, or flowers past their best for sensory play, you’re not just providing resources, you’re helping children learn that waste can have a second life.
