As part of our ongoing monitoring process of quality in the nurseries, we arrange internal audits at all of our nurseries annually. These are carried out by our Audit and Compliance Manager.
The Audit and Compliance Manager checks relevant legislation and Ofsted requirements. This is completed through observations of our practitioners, discussions with the children, reviewing paperwork, and an interview with the nursery manager. We would like to reassure you that this audit was carried out with all social distancing measures adhered to as per our risk assessment.
Tops Salisbury recently had an internal audit and we wanted to share with you some of the feedback from the report.
“Happy and engaged children are seen throughout the nursery. They enjoy a good range of learning opportunities and experiences as they enthusiastically explore and play with their friends. Children who require additional support for their learning are readily identified and staff effectively help them embrace all the nursery has to offer them.”
“Older children play cooperatively, listen attentively to stories and take part in exciting music sessions outdoors. They beat claves, copy actions and respond to instructions, developing their listening skills in readiness to move on to the next stage of their education.”
“Younger children clearly
embrace the outdoor learning experiences the staff provide. They are
independent and readily climb, balance and scoot in the large outdoor space
which they can freely access. Staff are supportive of the children’s intrinsic
desire to be outdoors and take their planned activities to the children to
support their learning.”
“Very young children have
strong bonds with their calm, caring and attentive key people. Children snuggle
in for comfort and reassurance. They laugh with delight at the attention they
have from their familiar adults as they climb and jump into their safe waiting
arms. All children demonstrate they feel safe and secure at nursery.”
