We are very pleased to announce that Tops Boscombe has been awarded 5 stars in an unannounced Food Hygiene Inspection carried out on Tuesday 19th January 2016. The inspection was carried out by an inspector from Bournemouth Borough Council.
At the inspection, the officer checked:
- How hygienically the food is handled – how it is prepared, cooked, re-heated, cooled and stored.
- The condition of the structure of the building – the cleanliness, layout, lighting, ventilation and other facilities.
- How the business manages the food to make sure food it is safe – this allows the officer to be confident that standards will be maintained in the future.
Each of these three elements is essential for making sure that food hygiene standards meet requirements and the food served is safe to eat. Tops Boscombe scored the highest rating in all of these areas.
