Tops Bournemouth Celebrates 25 Years & Reopens Revamped Gardens

This week marked a truly special milestone for Tops Bournemouth, as we proudly celebrated 25 years of providing high-quality early education and care. Since opening our doors in 1999, we have supported thousands of children, nurturing their development and inspiring a love for learning.

A Double Celebration: 25 Years & A Garden Transformation

To commemorate this incredible journey, we hosted a 25th birthday celebration at the nursery, where we also officially reopened our gardens following extensive renovations. These enhancements will provide even more opportunities for outdoor learning and play, allowing children to explore nature, develop their physical skills, and engage in imaginative activities.

We were delighted to welcome Cheryl Hadland, Founder and Chair of Tops Day Nurseries, and Sam King, Operations Director, to cut the ribbon and officially open the newly improved outdoor space. Several long-standing colleagues, including Charlotte, Jo P, and Emma Hollyoake, also joined us in the celebrations, making the event even more meaningful.

Looking Back on 25 Years of Tops Bournemouth

Reflecting on the nursery’s journey, Senior Nursery Manager Stacey shared her thoughts:

“It’s incredible to see how far Tops Bournemouth has come over the last 25 years. We are proud of the impact we’ve had on so many children’s lives and grateful for the dedication of our amazing staff. The newly revamped gardens will offer even more opportunities for outdoor learning and play, which is such an important part of early childhood development.”

Over the past 25 years, Tops Bournemouth has grown into a thriving, sustainable, and child-centred nursery, continuously evolving to provide the best possible experiences for our children. From introducing eco-friendly initiatives to championing outdoor education, we are proud to have made a difference in so many young lives.

A Fun-Filled World Book Day Celebration

Adding to the excitement, our 25th birthday coincided with World Book Day, and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to celebrate with some extra fun! Children and colleagues dressed up as their favourite book characters, bringing a magical touch to the day. From superheroes to fairy-tale favourites, the costumes were fantastic, and the love for storytelling was truly inspiring.
