Staff and Children at Tops Charminster are pleased to be celebrating a GOOD rating from Ofsted following their recent inspection.

According to the Ofsted report, Children make good progress and gain the skills they need for their future learning. They develop very good independence and learn to manage tasks confidently from a young age.
The report also noted that staff support children’s health and physical development well. For example, children enjoy regular outdoor play, physical activities and learn to brush their teeth. Children of all ages learn about keeping safe effectively, such as helping to identify risks in the garden. Staff work extremely well with other professionals to meet children’s individual needs accurately.
The inspector said ‘The manager and staff monitor children’s learning accurately, and in partnership with parents, from the start. They identify any gaps in learning quickly, including the progress between different groups of children, which they then plan for to help children catch up.’
Claire Rockingham Manager of Tops Charminster said ‘I am very proud of all my team for everything they have done over the last year since I became Manager at Tops Charminster. They have all worked very hard and this is shown in the comments received in the Ofsted report.’
