Tops Day Nurseries in Poole celebrated a decade of providing quality childcare to the local community. The staff and the children at the nursery played party games, sang happy birthday and helped blow out the candles to celebrate their 10th birthday before receiving a surprise visit from Tops Day Nurseries’ mascot, Marty the Mouse.
Ten years ago the small nursery set up at Poole Hospital was taken over by Tops Day Nurseries. The nursery was relocated and expanded to Denmark Lane, a stone’s throw from the Barclays building in Poole. The nursery now has over 130 children attending and was rated ‘good’ in its most recent inspection by Ofsted.
Kay Smith, one of the founding members of Tops Poole and who is also celebrating her 10th anniversary at the nursery, said: “Over the last 10 years I have worked in most of the rooms in the nursery and I have loved being with the children and see them develop. It has also been great to see the nursery blossom from the small team we had at Poole Hospital to the nursery we run today. Tops is a great place to work, and I’m proud to be celebrating this milestone anniversary with the company.”
