Tops Havant Spreads the Love

Tops Havant hosted a truly special Valentine’s Stay & Play morning bringing together our children, their families, and members of the local community share the love. This heart-warming event reflected our commitment to building strong community relationships and creating meaningful experiences for every child.

Our preschool children were delighted to welcome residents from Portsdown View Care Home, along with some of their wonderful mums, for a morning dedicated to sharing kindness. The atmosphere was full of excitement as the children proudly presented each resident, carer and mummy with a beautiful bunch of flowers, along with thoughtful Valentine’s crafts they had carefully created the day before.

It was a truly touching sight to see smiles light up the room as generations came together. The children were especially thrilled to surprise Katie, our Senior Nursery Manager, and Claire, our Deputy Manager, with their own bunches of flowers, creating an extra special moment that added even more joy to the celebration.

One resident shared some lovely feedback following the visit, saying:
“It was really nice, the environment is amazing, and you can tell all of the children are loved individually and looked after.”

Reflecting on the success of the event, Claire McQuilken, our Deputy Manager at Tops Havant, said:
