Tops Newport, based at the Isle of Wight College in Newport, celebrated 5 years of flexible childcare for the local community.
The staff and children at the nursery played party games, sang happy birthday and helped blow out the candles to celebrate their 5th birthday.
Diane Wycherley, Area Manager for Tops Newport, commented: “Everyone had a great day and there was a really good atmosphere. It has been great to see the nursery grow over the years, and we now are providing flexible childcare to over 110 families, the numbers of children using the nursery are now higher than ever before as more parents around the Island recognise the great environment for children, and lovely staff.”
However, it was not only Tops Newport’s birthday today. Francesca and Isobelle, two of the children who attend the nursery also celebrated their 3rd birthdays, adding to the celebrations!
Cheryl Hadland, managing director at Tops Day Nurseries, said: “This birthday party is special to us because we so nearly weren’t able rescue this nursery from its closure 5 years ago, but The IOW College, the local parents and staff together have made it a real success.”
