Tops Parkstone, the first nursery in the Tops Day Nurseries chain, has reached an incredible milestone, 35 years of providing high-quality early education and care to families in the local community. The celebration took place over two special events, marking the occasion with joy and reflection.
On Wednesday, the Tops Day Nurseries Head Office hosted a special celebration, bringing together key members of the team to honour the nursery’s achievements. The festivities continued at Tops Parkstone itself, where staff, children, and special guests gathered to commemorate the nursery’s 35-year journey.
As part of the celebrations, Tops Parkstone welcomed Lucy Funnell from Poole Lighthouse, further strengthening its partnership with the well-known arts centre. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the nursery’s dedication to early years education and to share this remarkable milestone with valued supporters.
A highlight of the event was the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, symbolising over three decades of dedication to early learning. Guests also enjoyed delicious food prepared by the Tops Catering team, making the day even more memorable.
Maria Thomas-Luker, Director of Central and Customer Services, has been an integral part of Tops since joining as a Nursery Assistant at Tops Parkstone in August 1990. Reflecting on this incredible milestone, she shared her thoughts: “For 35 years, Tops Parkstone has been all about caring for children and helping them learn and grow. We’re so proud of everything we’ve done and so thankful to the parents who trust us with the most precious gift of caring for their children. Here’s to another 35 years of fun, learning, and happy memories”!
Lucy Funnell added: “It was a pleasure to join Tops Parkstone to celebrate their 35th anniversary. Lighthouse is thrilled to be partnered with a company that shares our commitment to creativity, learning, and bringing enriching opportunities to children and families in the community, and we’re excited to continue our partnership throughout the year”.
