Tops Wareham celebrated at Dorset County Councils Childcare Awards ceremony

Dorset County council have recently held their annual awards ceremony to celebrate the nurseries, pre-schools, and childminders that have received an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating this year.

Nicky Willetts nursery manager and Emily Lawrence-Edwards level 2 practitioner at Tops Day Nurseries in Wareham attended the ceremony on behalf of Tops Day Nurseries after receiving an Outstanding report from Ofsted following their June inspection.

The building on Carey Road had been a shop and home and was completely redesigned by an architect and refitted to suit the needs of young children and staff. Nicky Willets has been manager at Tops Wareham since the nursery opened in 2000 and the setting has held an Ofsted Outstanding status for 9 years.

Nicky, nursery manager said “Overseeing Tops Wareham from the very beginning gives me a great sense of pride in how far we have come. We have maintained an outstanding Ofsted grade for 9 years, participated in lots of events and have looked after hundreds of children in the local community. I am delighted that we have been given an opportunity to be recognised for the care and dedication the Tops Wareham team provides. We strive to maintain a high standard of childcare, a service that fits the needs of all parents and remain as an outstanding setting.”
