Where have you been, Mini Beasts?

After another action packed half term, children from our Mini Beasts Holiday Club have taken part in a range of activities!

The newest holiday club, based at Baby Grows Day Nursery in Gillingham have had a very successful first half term. The children have been busy clay modelling, den building and pizza making at the nursery as well as going out on trips to places such as King Alfred’s Tower and Compton Abbas Airfield; they had a great time!

Children from Tops Corfe Mullen visited Bovington Tank Museum during their themed week ‘British Culture’. The children were given the opportunity to look at all the different types of tanks, watching displays and saw some real soldiers. They also attended the Kingston Lacy Easter egg hunt, it was such fun!

Tops Lakeside visited Port Solent Animal Farm, where children talked about the different animals and saw lots of baby animals too!

The green fingered children at Tops Musgrove had a busy half term spending time at the nursery’s allotment and planting sunflower seeds. They also created grass head people and made spring collages using resources they collected during a nature walk.

Parkstone Mini Beasts spent a morning making kites before heading over to Rossmore Common to fly them. Following the completion of Tops Parkstone’s new garden, the children also spend time planting seeds and flowers. The children are looking forward to seeing the progress next half term!

The children at Tops Poole visited the Poole Museum to take part in an Easter trail, as well as walking over to Poole Park to draw still life photos of ducks. They also visited Upton Country Park and walked around the nature trail, they spotted some friendly cows and sheep!

Tops Wimborne visited Avon Heath Country Park to explore the park, as well as going on the Kingston Lacy Easter egg trail.
